Privacy Policy

Your practice, your data — handled with care. This is the plain-English version of what we collect, why, who touches it, and the control you have over it.

Who we are & what this covers

Axiom IELTS is an AI-powered IELTS practice app — a Speaking & Writing examiner, band-score prediction, and study tools. This policy covers our website, our web checkout, and our mobile app.

We’re independent — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to IELTS, IDP, the British Council, or Cambridge in any way.

For anything under data-protection law, the data controller is [legal entity + address — add before launch]. You can reach us any time at osimsadulloev375@gmail.com — we reply within 24 hours, in English or Russian.

What we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. Here’s the full list:

  • Your email address — to sign you in, and if you join the launch waitlist.
  • Approximate location — a country code we derive from your IP address, used only to show you fair local pricing. We don’t store your precise location.
  • Product-analytics events — pages viewed, buttons clicked — via PostHog, and only after you accept cookies.
  • Your practice submissions — the essays and text you write, and the voice recordings you send for grading.
  • Basic payment metadata — which plan you’re on and its status. Full card details go straight to the payment provider and never touch our servers.

How we use your data — and our legal basis

We use your data to run the service, grade your practice, bill you, keep things secure, and — only with your consent — understand how the product is used.

Under the GDPR (Article 6), each use rests on a legal basis:

What we doLegal basis
Provide the service, grade your submissions, and process billingPerformance of a contract
Keep tax and payment recordsLegal obligation
Keep the service secure and workingLegitimate interests
Analytics cookies and the launch-waitlist emailYour consent

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time — it won’t affect anything we did before you withdrew.

AI grading & your submissions

This one matters, so we’ll be precise. To grade your Speaking and Writing, we send your submitted practice content — essay text, and voice recordings or their transcripts — to third-party AI providers: Anthropic (Claude) and Google.

They process it for one purpose only: to generate your feedback and return it to us. Under their API and business terms, these providers do not use API content to train their models.

Who we share data with

We don’t sell your data. We do rely on a short list of trusted processors to run Axiom — each only gets what it needs for its job:

ProcessorWhat it does
SupabaseAccounts and database storage
PaddleOur payment provider, acting as Merchant of Record — payments and tax
Anthropic (Claude)AI grading of your submissions
GoogleAI grading of your submissions
VercelWebsite and app hosting
PostHogProduct analytics — only after you consent

Each processor is bound by a data-processing agreement and may only use your data to provide its service to us.

Cookies & analytics

We only set analytics cookies after you accept them. Until then, PostHog doesn’t track you, and you can change your mind at any time.

For the full, itemised list of the cookies we use and why, see our separate Cookie Policy.

International data transfers

Some of our processors are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred to and processed there. When it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards — including Standard Contractual Clauses and data-processing agreements with each processor — to keep it protected to the standard the law requires.

How long we keep your data

  • Account data — kept for as long as your account is active.
  • On a deletion request — we erase your account and its associated data within 30 days.
  • Payment and tax records — kept for as long as the law requires us to.
  • Analytics — retained only for a limited period, then removed.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you’re in the EU, the UK, or a similar regime, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify anything that’s wrong.
  • Erase your data — the “right to be forgotten”.
  • Restrict how we process it.
  • Port your data to another service.
  • Object to certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, just email osimsadulloev375@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you’re a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
  • Delete the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
  • Non-discrimination — we won’t treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Children

Axiom IELTS isn’t directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us their information, email osimsadulloev375@gmail.com and we’ll remove it.

How we protect your data

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable processors. That said, no online service can promise 100% security — anyone who tells you otherwise isn’t being straight with you.

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll post them here and update the “last updated” date shown at the top of this page.
